Scripture Study: Romans and Galatians
Jan. 21 | Feb. 4, 18 | Mar. 4, 18 | Apr. 1, 15
The experience of sin and grace is among the most fundamental concepts of all humanity and, in particular, the Christian faith. In both Romans and Galatians, the apostle Paul emphasizes that salvation comes through God’s grace and not by following the Mosaic laws. Romans and Galatians take on the topic in a way that is as relevant today as it was when they were written. While Romans explores the theological depth of this concept, Galatians focuses more on defending the idea of salvation by grace against those who would add works of the Mosaic law to receive salvation. Join us we study these important books of the Bible.
Instructor: Fr. Steve Hurd, SJ is co-director of the Internship in Spiritual Companionship and a popular retreat director at Manresa.
This course is offered onsite (space limited to 16) or via Zoom. Instructions for Zoom meetings will be emailed to registered participants prior to each session.
