Jacob Wujek (Jakuba Wujka) (1541-1597), writer and teacher of Polish prose, who translated the catechism of St. Peter Canisius and the Bible into Polish. This latter was the first complete Polish Bible and was reprinted frequently. He was the rector of two universities and one of the principal figures of the Counter-Reformation. More
