The Cathedral of Havana, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, is a wonderful 18th-century Baroque church with asymmetric spires. It once held the remains of Christopher Columbus. This had been a Jesuit church until the Suppression. Begun in 1748 and consecrated in 1755, it became the cathedral in 1789.
